How long does it take to build an ARK house?

​

For complete homes, usually 4 to 5 weeks if all materials are available.  Add another 2 weeks for double storey buildings.  Construction of our stores is very quick and can be done within a few days.

Are the houses being erected anywhere in South Africa?

​

It is possible to build an ARK house anywhere in South Africa.  Transport costs and availability of materials play an important role and these factors are considered in each individual case.  We also investigate the cost and procurement of materials as closely as is practical to the site of construction.

What are the different products you supply?

​

We deliver and erect shells, partially completed homes to fully completed homes. 

Our storage units consists of the basic frame and sheeting with the front and back sides constructed from the same material.  A standard-size door is built at the front but can be substituted with a door chosen by the customer (eg. single or double garage door).  It also includes the floor (18 mm Plywood) and closers to seal the sheeting at the ridges.  

The various stages of our homes are:  Erecting the shell, electrical, plumbing, double insulation and cladding, interior walls, paint, bathroom(s), kitchen and built-in cupboards, floor covering and gas installation.  Our clients decide for themselves what they want and what is included in their quote.
